There are many similarities and many differences between wake boarding and water skiing. Let us take a look at some of them.On the other hand, there are a lot of differences between the two sports. The first and most obvious distinction is that the wake boarding is a variant of water skiing. The latter has been around for more than 80 years today while the former is a comparatively very recent phenomenon. Wake boarding is a combination of water skiing, snowboarding and surfing. The sport has borrowed the concept of being pulled by a motor boat powered by a cable from water skiing. It has borrowed the concept of using a board instead of skis from snowboarding.
